In May 2021, Ian Manners of Zenith was invited by Richard White, the Bursar at Princes Mead School near Winchester, to quote for canopies to cover play areas for their reception and nursery classes.
There was a requirement to choose a structure with a relatively low canopy roof and the Cicogna 150 not only offered this but also followed the shape of the Bell Tower on top of the building.
After carrying out a site survey, Ian recommended 1 x 5.8m x 4.7m and 1 x 4m x 4m Cicogna 150 in two separate areas. The school had to get planning permission for the canopies and by choosing white powder coated steelwork and RAL 7037 Grey canopies, the colours suited the environment and permission was granted.
Ian liaised with Ben Stuckey, the Estates Manager and the canopies were installed during the October half term in conjunction with the new landscaped area, carried out by another contractor.
Richard White and the school were delighted with the canopies and the pupils are now benefitting from covered all year round play, regardless of the weather.
