Cranfield Technology Centre in Bedfordshire asked TDA Interiors of London to carry out a complete refurbishment of their Café. At the time they didn’t have an outdoor covered seating area and it was part of the remit to include canopies.
In turn, TDA contacted Zenith Canopy Structures to provide several options for canopies that were eye catching but also functional at the same time. The College wanted a comfortable outdoor covered seating area that their staff could use all year round, regardless of the weather.

Michael Jones the Estates Manager at Highdown School in Reading, contacted Zenith Canopy Structures to purchase another canopy for his school. Zenith had already installed 2 x 8m x 8m Airone Max 175 structures in 2008 and 2009 respectively.
This time, Michael required Zenith to replace an existing sail canopy provided by others with an alternative structure in front of their 6th form catering pod.

Donna Weeks of Hartland Primary School, near Bideford in Devon, contacted Zenith for a quotation for a canopy to be installed in their grounds for an outdoor seating area.
There was limited shade in the school playground and they wanted a multi-use covered area for outdoor eating that could be used all year round. In addition, they wanted to use it as an outdoor classroom during the summer months.

The Indian Gymkhana Sports Club in Isleworth contacted Zenith regarding canopies to be installed in front of their pavilion to provide an increased covered hospitality area overlooking their hockey and sports pitches.
This was to provide extra covered catering facilities during match days but to also provide an extra covered and enclosed facility for weddings, banquets and other hospitality functions.
The Sports Club has a very large membership and is a very important part of the local community.

Craig Gilbert of Zenith was invited by Stuart Gutzenbach, the Site Manager of The Heights Primary School in Caversham, Reading to carry out a site survey for canopies at the school.
Stuart wanted a structure that provided a multi-use covered area that could be used all year round for PE and Sports classes. In addition, he wanted to be able to use it for school concerts.
The school already had a number of moveable picnic benches that could be placed underneath the canopy when it was not being used for PE or sport. It can now also be used as an outdoor classroom or for outdoor eating.

Woodlands Meed School in Burgess Hill, West Sussex, required a canopy to replace an existing plastic Dome Structure and cover a new outdoor Sunken Trampoline to provide Rebound Therapy for the pupils at the school.
The school is a Generic Special School and by using a trampoline, it provides opportunities for enhanced movement patterns, therapeutic positioning, exercise and recreation for a wide range of users with additional needs.

ISG were the main contractor for the project which was to redevelop and refurbish a former business centre and turn it into a new Alternative Provision Academy. The Academy required a covered walkway so the students could move between classes in all weathers.
After visiting the site and carrying our several site surveys, Ian Manners and Craig Gilbert produced a drawing and tender price to ISG. It also included a small entrance canopy to the main reception.

Nonsuch High School needed to replace an existing wooden canopy that was past its sell by date. In addition to replacing the existing wooden canopy, the school wanted to extend the canopy in an ‘L’ shape to cover two sides of the quadrangle so that students could move easily between the school buildings in all weathers.
After carrying an initial site survey, Ian Manners of Zenith quoted for 1 x 22m Simplicity 35 canopy to replace the existing one. Due to the flexibility of the Simplicity system, it was possible to cover the recesses in the area from a depth of 3.5 metres in some parts to 1.6 metres in others. In addition, Ian quoted for a further 20 metres up to 5 metres in the new uncovered area.

Cardinal Newman College required canopies to cover a new social space area for their students to use for outdoor eating and as a focal meeting place near the reception entrance. After Craig Gilbert of Zenith carried out a site survey the College selected Zenith’s unique Vela 150 Sail Shade system.
The College already boasts stunning grounds but with added pressure on circulation space due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the extra outdoor covered space allows students to maintain social distancing throughout the year.

Longdean School in Hemel Hempstead required glazed sides for their existing 9.9m x 9.9m Airone Max 175 canopy structure.
Zenith originally installed the Airone Max in 2005 and when the school was rebuilt in 2016, it was relocated adjacent to the dining room. The canopy and framework was still in pristine condition as Zenith had carried out a cleaning and maintenance service for Longdean every 2 years since the original installation.
Due to the increased number of students at the school they required extra enclosed covered space and by adding glazed sides with two sets of double doors the students are protected from the elements all year round.

Zenith were contacted by Tom Sheerin, the Site Manager at the school and invited Craig Gilbert of Zenith to discussed the various canopies available as they required an outdoor covered seating area.
After careful consideration Tom selected 2 x 6m x 6m Airone Tipo 150 joined together to cover the outdoor seating area adjacent to the playground and playing fields. The canopies are now used as an eating area, outdoor classroom or a general meeting point for the children.
